In this football time of year this map seemed appropriate. It cracked me up and since it is political, in the sense that it does have to do with another way that people group themselves, I thought I would add it to this lab.

Here is Lab 1. I mapped both the Republican voting states as well as the Democrat voting states. You only need to click the button to go back and forth between the two.

I retrieved the data from Electoral-vote.com, RealClearPolitics, and an article from the Wall Street Journal. Once again I got color ideas from ColorBrewer.

Overall I do like the way it turned out. I think the information is clear and easy to see. I chose purple and green because I like the combo and there is no opinion attached to the map. It is an easy thing to update and if I have time tomorrow before class I will attempt to do so and upload the result.

I love the baseball map! Fantastic in so many ways (though the "Nationals" territory seems overly generous.....).

Hi, I'm Kevin, I'm in Prof. Hallden's 411 class. I was looking at some of the grad students' maps and I just wanted to say I thought your Lab 1 map was really well done. I liked the layout and the color choices. I especially liked that you could go back and fourth between the Republican and Democrat maps. The delegate counts on the bottom was a nice touch as well. Cool map!
